Senior Graphic Designer.

 Purpose:

The primary purpose of this role is to create visually engaging designs that align with established brand guidelines, contribute to the development of brand deliverables, and ensure consistency across all brand touchpoints through effective visual systems and guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Designing Brand Deliverables: Develop a wide range of marketing materials, from printed collateral (e.g., brochures, business cards) to digital assets (e.g., email templates, social media graphics), ensuring they align with the approved visual identity.
  2. Brand Guidelines Creation: Create and maintain comprehensive brand guidelines that outline the proper usage of brand assets, ensuring consistency in visual representation across all media.
  3. Brand Audits: Conduct regular reviews of brand collateral across platforms to ensure that all materials adhere to the brand guidelines and maintain a consistent identity.

Secondary Responsibilities

  1. Research and Analysis: Conduct market research on visual trends, competitor branding, and target audience preferences to inform and refine design decisions.
  2. Feedback Implementation: Incorporate feedback from clients, brand managers, and other stakeholders to iterate and improve designs.
  3. Keeping Up-to-Date: Stay current with graphic design trends, tools, and software to continually enhance brand visual elements and ensure cutting-edge design solutions.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Graphic Design Software: Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), with the ability to create high-quality visuals across both print and digital media.
  • Strong Structural Thinking and Layout Design: Expertise in designing visually engaging layouts that align with both brand guidelines and user experience.
  • Brand Identity Development: Deep understanding of brand identity creation and visual storytelling, with the ability to translate brand strategy into cohesive and compelling design.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Production Knowledge: Knowledge of both print and digital production processes, ensuring designs are suitable for various applications.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail in maintaining brand consistency across all design outputs.

Experience

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field is typically required.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing experience in creating visual identities, brand collateral, and brand guidelines across multiple mediums.
  • Professional Experience: 2-5 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in a branding agency or similar environment, with a focus on developing brand identities.
  • Proven Success: A demonstrated ability to manage brand projects from concept to execution, showing a strong track record of delivering successful, high-quality brand materials.
